About Troy

I'm a surrealist painter from Utah. I studied at Utah Valley University where I realized I didn't want a career in animation, but still loved drawing. I took some drawing classes and found appreciation for construction the human figure on paper. It's a biological puzzle piece with intricate parts that fit together and flow elegantly. I've started with that as my focus.

Sometime in my teens, I fell in love with surrealism. I found that was true not only in painting, but in my viewing of other art forms as well. I began to marry the two concepts (figure painting and surrealism) and have used that as a starting point for my work.
